funny song...while I know a few of the acronyms mentioned (like MC and NS) can anyone please tell me what DB means in the part "we dont wanna go DB"? Is that the same as the USA's code AWOL (Away With Out Leave)? and the "This is BMT"?
Just a confused canuck here, looking for some insight, thanks.

DB — Detention Barrack, like the brig or the stockade in the US — the place where recalcitrant military personnel are sent to.
MC — Medical Certificate, a document certifying that you are unable to sustain the rigours of military training, and so you are to rest instead.
NS — National Service, a process where over a specified time you "serve" your "nation". A euphemism for conscription, which is a euphemism for slavery.
BMT — Basic Military Training. A program designed to bullshit you into what being in the defence forces is all about. Designed to break your will and make you an obedient unit for the purposes of killing other human beings or sacrificing your own life for the political masters who run the state.
----------------
Any parent who can afford it, and is bugged out at allowing their sons to become death slaves of the state, would do well to ship out their boys before NS registration age. Don't fall for the rubbish that the defence minister sprouts from his over-paid cake-hole: you either own your own person, or you don't.
If a govt forces you to dedicate your life and entire being for any purpose ("national defence" sounds noble and "worthy"), rest assured that they don't really give a shit about you.
Conscription is SLAVERY. The proper way to defend a country is by a totally voluntary militia — be they standing armies or well-armed citizenry.
Avoid NS, if you can and do your part for civil disobedience.

Thanks Matilah, for the enlightenment on the acronyms.
