The allegation made by the police that I had "tried to bite a female police officer when the latter tried to arrest her" and that I had "attack(ed)" her is a serious one. It is also a lie.
The statement made it look as if I had resisted arrest by trying to bite one of the police officers as they were leading me to the police van. The numerous clips that have been posted on the Internet have proven that this never took place.
The press statement issued by the police is malicious. Its intent is obvious.
If the police have evidence that I had attacked or even attempted to attack an officer, then they should produce it.
Otherwise they must retract the slanderous and scandalous statement, failing which I shall consider taking action against them.

The SDP is now resorting to militant ways such as biting and attacking. It is becoming difficult to accept them in our inclusive society. The protest was totally unnecessary. Much of the price hikes is due to external factors and it is simply unfair to blame the govt. The govt has already given good explanation for the price hikes - ERP hikes is to prevent congestion, taxi fair hikes is to make them more available. Electricity hike is necessary because price of oil has increased and Singapore Power cannot be expected to reduce its profit margins because they have to spend money to expand overseas. The hike in bus and MRT fares is to ensure quality of service does not drop.
So far the price hikes have been for the good of Singaporeans. By protesting against it, the SDP will reduce the level of acceptance of future price hikes and thus harm our harmonious society. For that, the deserve to be arrested and stopped.
